Repentance from dead works

1. For a building up of the body of the Anointed - the word of the beginning of the Anointed - a foundationHeb 5:12 For indeed because of the time you are due to be teachers, yet you need to have someone to teach you again the rudiments of the beginning of the Words of God, and you came to be having need of milk, and not of solid food; Heb 5:13 for everyone partaking of milk is without experience in the Word of Righteousness, for he is an infant. Heb 5:14 But solid food is for those full grown, having exercised the faculties through habit, for distinction of both good and bad. Heb 6:1 Because of this, having left the discourse of the beginning of Christ, let us be borne on to full growth, not laying down again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Heb 6:2 of doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment. Heb 6:3 And this we will do, if indeed God permits. It is a great fear for going further on this foundation, because there is no point in continuing unless the foundation is in order. This foundation must of course be in every believer's life, it is that way they can find their place in the body.1.1. Repentance from dead worksTit 3:3 For we also once were senseless, disobedient, being led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. Tit 3:4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, Tit 3:5 not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Tit 3:6 whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior; Tit 3:7 that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Tit 3:8 Faithful is the Word, and concerning these things I desire you strongly to affirm that the ones believing God should take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. Tit 3:9 But keep back from foolish questionings and genealogies and arguments and quarrels of law, for they are unprofitable and vain. Tit 3:10 After the first and second warning, avoid a man of heresy, Tit 3:11 knowing that such a one has been perverted and sins, being self-condemned. Joh 6:27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for God the Father sealed this One. Joh 6:28 Then they said to Him, What may we do that we may work the works of God? Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe into Him whom that One sent. This is the works of God, leading to the fruit of the Spirit; that we believe in Jesus. But before faith in God, there is repentance from dead works. Therefore, we will look at this first.2Ti 2:23 But refuse the foolish and uninstructed questionings, knowing that they generate quarrels. 2Ti 2:24 But a slave of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, 2Ti 2:25 in meekness teaching those who have opposed, if perhaps God may give them repentance for a full knowledge of the truth, 2Ti 2:26 and they having regained senses out of the snare of the devil, being captured by him to do the will of that One. 2Pe 3:9 The Lord of the promise is not slow, as some deem slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not having purposed any to perish, but all to come to repentance. We see that there is an interaction between man and God. God gives repentance to those who say yes to the call; saying yes to Jesus. A false righteousnessRepentance from the works of the lawWorks of the law are the deeds you do to achieve salvation
